So you want to fix your lerp to where shots will register, and to where your hitboxes will lag as little as possible, eh? Here's a simple guide to changing your config file with the correct settings, so your lerp will permanently stay down.....


1) Open up your Counter-Strike: Source config, located in (C:\program files\steam\steamapps\(EMAIL)\Counter-Strike: Source\cstrike\cfg) [The file is called Config.cfg] open it with Wordpad or Notepad (Your choice)

[Note from Twistedgamer: Using Wordpad, adds hidden document control characters that most every application throws a fit about.]

2) Scroll all the way to the bottom of the text document.

3) Copy the following two lines in the quote below to the bottom of the config file:

4) Save the config file, and close it.

5) Right click on the Config file in the folder and click 'Properties'.

6) On the bottom of the properties menu is a white box with the words "Read Only" next to it, put an [X] in the box next to the Read Only option, and then hit "Apply" and "Ok".

7) start up Counter-Strike: Source and enjoy your new permanently saved settings....

Just downloaded another update and the server is still running the older version.

'I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan.'

1) 'The US will apologize to the world for our 'interference' in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those 'good 'ole' boys', we will never 'interfere' again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany , South Korea , the Middle East , and the Philippines . They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're illegal!!!

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5) No foreign 'students' over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a 'D' and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not 'interfere.' They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us 'Ugly Americans' any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH…learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

Hi all. As of lately Ive been running into where it says the map is missing and Im not able to download it to play.
Does anyone know how I can set up for autodownload these maps or is there something with the steam update thats messing with me on this.
Any help will be appreciated greatly.

Warden was at my place today to chill and he decided to play CSS on my second account.

I noticed the chock was over 60 on that account.

Started checking around because I knew Valve messed with the net code.

Found a few posts on Steam Forums about issues like this.

So we tried these setting on the second account of mine and my primary account. YMMV

cl_interp_ratio 2
cl_updaterate 66
cl_interp 0.033

I also bumped the rate from 20000 to 30000 and chock and lerp both dropped. Which is a good thing. So try and your own risk.

With the above settings, start playing with your Rate till your choke is as low as it will go.

50% of this BS update is because Germany and Australia pasted laws against Violent video games. So time to start voting these ass bags out of the government for this and numerous other stupid ass moves.

US players, most of the EU, Russia and Asia aren't supposed to be seeing these stupid "Grab your head and fall down" scenes.


As for our server it's down till Event Scripts, GunGame update their stuff. ETA "When its done" is the comment from both.

Supposedly mani released a vdf file update to get mani working. From what I can tell Valve broke a lot of shit with this update, most of it intentionally.
